Dr. Susan D. Schlesinger, a Springfield PA dentist for the past 26 years, has proved to provide quality dental treatment with great pride and a gentle caring touch to patients of all ages – from small children to great grandparents.
Dr. Schlesinger is committed to cosmetics as well as the prevention of oral disease and tooth decay. Dr. Schlesinger’s individualized treatment leans heavily towards non-surgical treatment of periodontal disease wherever possible. Cavities that are too small to be detected on an x-ray are now able to be diagnosed using Diagnodent, a safe painless diagnostic laser. “I feel my job is to let my patients know what dentistry has to offer and it is their job to pick the treatment that is right for them.”
Dr. Schlesinger graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Faculty of Arts and Sciences in 1981, from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 1985 and completed an optional general practice residency at the Graduate Hospital affiliated with the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 1986. After Dr. Schlesinger’s training she held a position as an associate professor at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine for several years while in private practice.

Review of Dr Susan D. Schlesinger- General Dentist Springfield, PA
Until I met Dr. Schlesinger, I was so afraid of going to the dentist that I avoided it for years. However Dr. Schlesinger has been so kind, patient and understanding, that I have basically overcome my phobias and been able to get the work I needed done including numerous fillings and a bridge… The doctor takes the time to explain each step of a procedure to me, so that I know what to expect. Today, I actually had a root canal done and I was so relaxed that I almost fell asleep. The entire staff is friendly, professional and accommodating. Dr. Schlesinger has also been fair with respect to fees and working with my insurance.
About the hygienist: I can not say enough good things about this practice they are terrific!

Dr. Susan Schlesinger is a wonderful dentist! Her dental work is beautiful, and she is a true artist. I am so pleased to have her as my dentist. I first met her when she and her daughter, who was then 14, founded a multigenerational Scrapbooking Club on Sundays at Martin’s Run Senior Living Community where I live. Dr. Schlesinger is such a caring person. Now almost 8 years later, she still runs the scrapbooking club even though her daughter graduated high school 5 years ago and has moved away. I trust her to recommend and carry out the best dental treatment for me. As a retired teacher I recognize bright people and Dr. Schlesinger is very intelligent. I am sure that Dr. Susan Schlesinger was in the top of her class at the University of Pennsylvania Dental School. I also know that she is always there to take care of me when I need it, which, lately, has been a lot. She takes her time to see that all of my needs are met beyond my highest expectations. I have lived a LONG time (92 years), and I know a great dentist when I see one! So, I tell everyone at Martin’s Run, “You should use Dr.Schlesinger as your Dentist!”

First let me say that I have neglected the condition of my mouth for many years. I come up with a million reasons but, the truth is that I am to blame and me alone. From the very minute I walked into the office, I could feel everything you say to
them matters. (And this is the most important part.) They listened to me and my concerns. I wasn’t just a number to them. I had a name and a face. Even though I am truly to blame about the poor condition of my teeth and gums, they give me hope and make me feel that they have my best interest at heart. Dr. Schlesinger did something unheard of for me. She called me at night after hours to discuss my treatment and options. The bottom line is, do yourself the biggest favor and call them. Don’t wait until I did to get up the nerve. You will feel much better. I strongly recommend her style of practice especially if you’re scared and feeling uneasy.
